This DIR-inspired Master Diver program represents the pinnacle of recreational diving within Scuba Schools International. Designed for committed and highly motivated divers, the course focuses on advanced skills, precise dive planning, and the use of more advanced equipment configurations.
During the program, students progress into deeper and more demanding dives while developing strong technical-style diving habits. Training includes Deep Diving, Extended Range Foundations (Twinset or Sidemount), and Decompression Diver, allowing divers to safely conduct dives that require up to 15 minutes of unaccelerated decompression while maintaining strict team procedures and equipment discipline.
All divers in this program will dive using either a twinset or sidemount configuration, introducing them to equipment setups commonly used in technical diving. If a drysuit is used, students must also complete proper drysuit training to ensure safe buoyancy control and thermal protection.
Upon successful completion, students will receive certifications in Deep Diving, Extended Range Foundations (Twinset or Sidemount), and Decompression Diver, marking the highest level of recreational diver training before entering full technical diving programs.
Why choose this program?
Most recreational diving courses stop before divers gain experience with decompression procedures and advanced equipment setups. This program bridges the gap between recreational and technical diving, providing divers with the knowledge, discipline, and experience needed for more demanding dives.
Because of the skill level required, not every diver will be able to complete this program. It demands strong buoyancy control, situational awareness, and the ability to operate effectively within a team.
Key advantages of this program:
- One of the highest levels of recreational diver training
- Includes Deep Diving, Extended Range Foundations (Twinset or Sidemount), and Decompression Diver certifications
- Introduction to twinset or sidemount configurations used in technical diving
- Training in planned decompression diving
- Strong focus on precision buoyancy, trim, and propulsion
- Emphasis on team procedures and dive planning
- Optional drysuit training if diving in a drysuit
- Ideal preparation for future technical diving programs
This program develops highly capable divers who are comfortable managing more complex dives, advanced equipment, and structured team diving environments.
