This DIR-inspired Advanced Open Water program builds on the strong foundation developed during the Open Water course and focuses on expanding diving experience while refining core skills. The course follows the standards of Scuba Schools International and combines advanced diving training with essential safety and rescue education.

Throughout the program, divers complete a series of specialty dives including Deep Diving, Night Diving, Navigation, Perfect Buoyancy, and Boat Diving. At the same time, students develop stronger situational awareness, dive planning abilities, and team communication skills.

In addition to the diving training, the course includes React Right and Stress & Rescue, providing divers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to prevent and manage diving emergencies both in and out of the water.

Upon completion, students will be certified as SSI Advanced Open Water Divers, as well as React Right and Stress & Rescue Divers, creating a well-rounded diver who is comfortable, capable, and prepared to assist others.

Why choose this program instead of a standard Advanced course?

Many advanced diving courses focus mainly on completing a few specialty dives. This program goes further by combining experience dives with rescue training and a structured DIR-inspired approach to diving. The goal is not only to log dives, but to develop confident divers who understand how to prevent problems and respond effectively when something goes wrong.

Key advantages of this program:

  • SSI Advanced Open Water certification
  • Includes Deep, Night, Navigation, Perfect Buoyancy, and Boat dives
  • Integrated React Right (first aid, CPR, oxygen) training
  • Full Stress & Rescue Diver certification
  • Strong focus on team diving and situational awareness
  • Further development of trim, buoyancy, and propulsion techniques
  • Training that prepares divers for professional or technical diving pathways

This approach creates divers who are not only more experienced, but also more aware, capable, and prepared to handle real-world diving situations.
