Open Water Diver
This DIR-style Open Water Diver course following international standards while applying a structured, team-oriented approach to diving from the very beginning. The course runs for a minimum of four days, allowing students to build strong foundational skills and develop confidence in the water.
Throughout the program, students learn proper equipment configuration, buoyancy and trim control, propulsion techniques, and effective team communication. The training emphasizes precision, awareness, and solid diving habits that create a strong base for future recreational and technical diving.
Upon successful completion, students will receive certifications as Open Water Diver, providing them with both recreational diving qualifications and an introduction to the standardized skills used in proper diving.
Why learn to dive the DIR way?
DIR (“Doing It Right”) is a philosophy of diving that focuses on simplicity, efficiency, and teamwork. By using standardized equipment configurations and procedures, divers learn to move more efficiently in the water, communicate more effectively with their team, and handle problems in a calm and structured way.
Starting your diving journey with this approach means building the right habits from day one. Instead of relearning skills later, students develop strong fundamentals that will support them throughout their entire diving career—whether they continue with recreational diving or move into advanced and technical training.
Key advantages of this program:
- DIR-inspired equipment configuration for simplicity and reliability
- Early focus on trim, buoyancy, and propulsion for efficient diving
- Standardized procedures that make teamwork easier and safer
- Training that builds situational awareness and problem-solving skills
- A strong foundation for future technical or advanced diving
More time in the water compared to typical entry-level courses - Includes Open Water Diver, Nitrox Diver, and Extended Range Foundations (Single Tank) certifications
By learning these principles from the start, divers develop skills that make diving more controlled, comfortable, and enjoyable from the very first dives.
